C4WS Homeless Shelter
Volunteering
UCL's local borough, Westminster, has the highest rate of homeless in the city.

As part of our aim to volunteer in UCL's local community, we work with C4WS at their Friday Club!

The Friday Club is a weekly drop-in service that provides companionship, a hot and healthy lunch and professional welfare support to the homeless, vulnerable and in need.

Widening Participation in PPE
Volunteering
As part of our aim to increase political education and awareness in schools in low voter turnout postcodes, we deliver talks at schools in the 3 East London wards with the highest deprivation score and lowest voter turnout score: Hackney, Lewisham and Croydon.

We aim to inform Year 13 students (who will have just turned / will soon turn the voting age) the importance of voting, how to vote, how to get involved in local and national politics and empower them to pursue careers in politics, philosophy and economics.

Nalaxone Training
Workshops
UCL's local borough, Westminster, has the highest drug crime rates in the country.

As part of our aim to increase awareness about public health and social issues, we deliver training to students to help them recognize signs of opioid overdose and naloxone administration.

Mental Health First Aid Training
Workshops
As part of our aim to increase awareness about public health and social issues, we deliver training to students to help them recognize signs of poor mental health in themselves and those around them, as well as how to support those suffering from mental illness.
